The key to this mission is to sneaky sneaky closer then you would expect, and once you click a photo with your camera, Mr Black will notice you and run away and you have to start all over.
In the successful attempt I crawled to about 15 meters from the bear and once it stood up, I got into a crouched position with the camera and clicked photos.
Mr Black attacked and the mission did not complete until I clicked more pictures during his attack, lucky survivor with 3% health left and a completed mission!

This one took a lot of attempts (too many to count) and a lot of the tips I've read online from other people didn't work perfectly, but did help altogether. The key word is being sneaky. And unfortunately, your chances of getting a picture that counts is best done at night. The picture that counted towards mine was just a face shot, and he was buried in trees and grass when I took it. Not sure how or why it counted, but after spending countless days of trying, I'm glad it did.

ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know if there is a good time, but I think that I did my attempts during daytime.
DeleteThe problem is that if you don't sneak he will spot you and just run away before you find him.
To find mr. Black you need to put a tent at the base of the peninsula by the bushes. You go to the main menu and then go back to your tent. Sleep until the next day at exactly 8:20. Once you wake up go out to the peninsula where mr. Black usually is and at about 8:25 mr. Blacks tracks will appear and you just wait. At 8:30 mr. Black will spawn and you will take as many pictures as possible he may charge but it will complete the mission.

DeleteSame here. I've been trying for a week now and I haven't been able to spot him anywhere. His tracks are also nowhere to be found. I did exactly as you said, it still didn't work, Mr. Black never spawned.
DeleteHe's there but keep in mind he's not going to be at the exact spot that everyone else found him. You just have to keep looking and literally tip toe in the area or you'll spook him and he'll run.

ReplyDeleteI spent over 6 weeks following all this advice and still Never sshot him on the second Mr Black mission. Took a week+ the Balmont Lake try.
